This document describes the inspection plan for the Coupler system of the Firehorn Rocket.
It aims to verify the compliance of the couplers with the key requirements listed below.
The goal is to ensure proper structural integration, dimensional compatibility, and mechanical integrity during assembly and flight.
2024_C_SE_ST_COUPLER_REQ_01 Coupler declaration of purpose
The coupler shall structurally connect two distinct parts of the LV.
2024_C_SE_ST_COUPLER_REQ_05 Coupler Mass
The entire coupler assembly shall weigh less than [1200] g.
2024_C_SE_ST_COUPLER_REQ_06 Integration diameter
The coupler’s integration diameter shall be at least [188] mm.
2024_C_SE_ST_COUPLER_REQ_13 Post-assembly angular alignment
The circular angular difference shall be less than [1]° after assembly.
The inspection was conducted according to the standard coupler inspection procedure:
Visual Inspection: check for surface defects and structural integrity.
Dimensional Measurement: use calibrated calipers to measure internal and external diameters and assembly height.
Mass Measurement: weigh each coupler with a calibrated scale (±1 g).
Dry-fit Test: assemble coupler pairs to check final angular alignment.
