This document is separated in to two sections, the test specification and the test procedure.
The test specification section defines the purpose of the test, the test approach, the item under test, test sequence, test facility, pass/fail criteria, required documentation, participants and test schedule.
The test report section gives directions for conducting a test activity in terms of description, resources, constraints and provides detailed step‐by‐step instructions for conducting test activities with the selected test facility and set‐up.
The goal of this document is to prepare the different tests and procedures that we will apply to the rocket tanks.
The purpose of the procedure is to ensure consistency of methodology and the acquisition of correct results for traction test.
It should therefore inform the reader of the multiple steps followed, as well as the criteria of Success and Failure.
This document is a qualification TSP
The main objective of the qualification stage is to demonstrate that the design meets all the specified requirements.
This stage starts after the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and ends with the Qualification Review (QR).
The question we are trying to answer in the QR is: Should we redesign this part?
Give the links to all of the documents which can give additional context to this document which includes documents which relate to the same assembly.
The goal of this test is to test an assembly of several parts. If there is a problem wih one of them, we cannot qualify the other ones and the entire test must be redone.
The hardware needed is a tensile machine from the DLL with the software TestXpert II, the RRB assembled and the MPS on which it is fixed, as well as a profil that has the same dimensions as the launch rail of EuRoc.
If the test is sucessfull, there's a high chance the same parts will be used for the flight.
Objectives :
The aim of this test is to verifie that the RRB and the MPS can whistand [3000]N on the radial direction.
Method :
We will fixe the entire system together on a Zwick 10kN testing machine, and apply a force of [3000]N.
Training for access to the machine and Med 3 room 1523 with Robin Amacher.
Accuracy: ±1% for force and displacement measurements.
Reserve the room, register in the booklet and follow the machine's instructions.
Put the machine in Set Up Mode
There's a small book in the room with all the machine's instructions to ensure proper use.
The RRB assembly will fail the test if there is any plastic deformation or failure. The same goes for the MPS.
In this case, additional testing will be needed on individual parts in order to see where the probleme is, and a redesign of the week parts will be done.

The lower grip is removed from the traction testing machine.
The MPS with the RRB is screwed to the base plate of the machine.
A profil that has the same dimensions of the one used by EuRoc is inserted on the RRB, and it is clamped inside the upper grip.

Describe all the main hazards associated to the test. Hazards are related to anything that poses a danger to the well being of the test operators: using dangerous chemicals, having high energy events happen during testing, etc
